Moones - Better Energy

British band Moones stranded on an iceberg, with a cat ice fishing for electric eel and marshmellows. And then there's a penguin, who's - nope, I really can't explain it remotely seriously. It simply can't be summarized in a few words.

It's the end of the world as we know it

And I feel fine.

So this calendar predicts the end of the world. Supposedly. Thinking back, I probably should have mentioned before "doomsday" that the calendar was out of alignment, and apparently the 21st was never meant to mean the end of the world. Just good to know. More importantly, I want to mention the fact that THE MAYAN CALENDAR LOOKS KIND OF LIKE AN OREO.

.

Both are in their way, cultural marvels, and the pinnacles their civilizations.
Besides, an Oreo could never mean the end of the world. Well, maybe.
To finish off, REM. Sort of, the world as we know it didn't end, so we all feel fine.

Tubalr

Tubalr (tuba-ler) is a music site which gives users music videos and only music videos (instead of random people singing their own version of songs on Youtube). While that is usually fun, (okay, usually annoying), this will select only the relevant videos for the song.

It's completely free. Free to browse (which you won't need an account for), free to watch.
Making an account will also give you allow you to create custom playlists and ban the songs you don't like. Accounts are also entirely free. The only ads are the ones contained in the videos themselves

About Tubalr

Tubalr is Pronounced: tuba-ler

Tubalr is an app that was crafted out of curiosity and passion, Sept 12th 2010. I released it into the wild and have been iterating ever since. I built Tubalr because I kept running across great high quality videos wishing I had a simple app to play those videos back to back, while working or doing other things. - Cody Jack Stewart (founder and creator of Tubalr)

One Week - Barenaked Ladies

I heard this song about 12 years ago (and for me that's like forever). For years I could only remember part of the tune, and the lyrics:

"Chickity China the Chinese Chicken, you have a drumstick and your brain stops tickin;"

From that point onwards, no matter how many drumsticks I consumed, my brain kept tickin'. I could not remember anything else about the song, which anyone who's had the experience would know. It drove me crazy, sort of one of the unexplained parts of the world along with Bigfoot and Nessie.
One day I was on the internet and remembered and googled the lyrics, as stupid as it sounds. Try righting chickity china the chinese chicken into Google without it seeming stupid.
But I found it.

Reddit

It's only appropriate I post the site which I have been visiting most this week.
Reddit.com, 'the front page of the internet'. Users submit content to what is essentially a bulletin board. This can then be upvoted or downvoted. Due to the high amount of submissions each day, there is usually an entirely new front page each day.
There are also a number of subreddits, categories such as film, music, humour, games and news. One of the most popular Reddits is the 'IamA', where various celebrities answer questions users ask. Basically an interview, except the questions are asked by the public, and if you are a redditor (have a reddit account), you can ask them questions as well or comment on the thread.
