David Keochkerian (Photographer)

A number of his works emulate the landscapes of Dr Seuss, strangely.
Many people can simply take photos of ordinary things, or add a lens flair. His photos capture the amazing, both in nature and in city, rendered in vivid colours giving it a surrealistic quality.

Cleverbot

Cleverbot is a conversation bot convinced it is human. And that you are a bot. Yeah, I know what you're thinking, it's another person on the other end. So I tested it with this question.
Yeah, not quite what a person would say. It recognised 'cry' and was sympathetic, but it didn't answer the question. Cleverbot will only claim to know about two languages, but in actuality can switch between multiple languages in one conversation, speaking fluently in each of them. What are the chances of connecting to a quintilingual person?

Cleverbot's not exactly the 'greatest achievement of the 21st century' but it certainly is entertaining.
His answers will reflect yours. If you have a pointless conversation, it will reply with equally pointless answers. If you were to discuss the decline of art through modern times and its implication of society's modern cultural devolution, it will... reply with pointless answers. It will still sound smart, and it will sort of make sense, sort of. And that's what matters.

What's also cool is it will respond to song lyrics

Yes, some faith in humanity has been restored.

The Internet

The Internet. I'm guessing some of you have heard of it. Perhaps you've even been on it before.
If not, I'd highly recommend it.

It's hard to explain how the Internet manages to complete life as we know it.

Here's a brief and slightly inadequate list
1) Games (online games, downloadable games, strategies, shooters)
2) Tons of books (some books from archives are only available to the public digitally)
3) Comics and Memes
4) Music
5) Forums
6) Cats
7) Youtube
8) Cats doing pointless and random things on Youtube
8) Wikipedia
9) Google
10) Free stuff (right?)
And no, stealing things doesn't count as free. That's more "liberated".

Minecraft 1.4 (Halloween Update)

Minecraft's new update introduces an all new enemy, the Wither, a combination of Skeleton and Blaze.
Slimes now spawn in swamps as well as huts containing witches who attack with splash potions. Zombies are now able to infect villagers, though infected villagers can be cured. Enemy mobs can now pick up armour and weapons and use them. Bats spawn in dark caves. Anvils can be built to repair damaged weapons and tools.

Conqueror! Game

"Conqueror is a turn-based, multiplayer strategy game that takes place on a map of medieval Europe. Easy to learn, but far deeper than Risk. Play on the web against as many as 15 human or AI opponents, for timed games as short as 30 minutes or as long as 4 hours. An ingenious system of simultaneous turns means that you don't have to wait for other players to make their moves!" - From the Conqueror! site.

What's great about this strategy game is it's entirely free, doesn't need an account to play. Basically you can play instantly, and it offers both single-player and multiplayer. Players are also able to join midway through games (if the game is not full) and choose to play as one of the AI players.

When entering a game, choose your position carefully. This is medieval Europe, so starting your own Roman Empire may be tricky. Spain's a solid choice for players starting off as it's better protected, and only a few players can attack at a time. Russia is a great choice as the player's empire will be able to spread to Scandinavia, downwards to Slavia and the middle east, and across central Europe. Usually the winning position for an experienced player is Poland area, provided the player is good enough to face multiple enemies at once. I'd also recommend reading the guide to work out how resources, population and spending work.

Screen Rant

Screen Rant is offers the latest in films, TV series and games, covering upcoming movies to the extent Screen Rant knows before the directors do.

What's really great about this site is if you're going to find out about any planned movies, or sequels on popular franchise, it's here. Plus, it even offers directorial news, changes in cast, the making of movies, news and trailers. It even has game news.

One Week - Barenaked Ladies

I heard this song about 12 years ago (and for me that's like forever). For years I could only remember part of the tune, and the lyrics:

"Chickity China the Chinese Chicken, you have a drumstick and your brain stops tickin;"

From that point onwards, no matter how many drumsticks I consumed, my brain kept tickin'. I could not remember anything else about the song, which anyone who's had the experience would know. It drove me crazy, sort of one of the unexplained parts of the world along with Bigfoot and Nessie.
One day I was on the internet and remembered and googled the lyrics, as stupid as it sounds. Try righting chickity china the chinese chicken into Google without it seeming stupid.
But I found it.

Reddit

It's only appropriate I post the site which I have been visiting most this week.
Reddit.com, 'the front page of the internet'. Users submit content to what is essentially a bulletin board. This can then be upvoted or downvoted. Due to the high amount of submissions each day, there is usually an entirely new front page each day.
There are also a number of subreddits, categories such as film, music, humour, games and news. One of the most popular Reddits is the 'IamA', where various celebrities answer questions users ask. Basically an interview, except the questions are asked by the public, and if you are a redditor (have a reddit account), you can ask them questions as well or comment on the thread.

Badass of The Week

Badass of the week is a site featuring some of the most Badass people of all time, from ancient warriors to modern figures and badass characters from both from film and game. Plus it features Batman, Darth Vader AND Deadpool. "You should probably also be aware that this site features an unnecessarily copious amount of profanity, so if you're easily offended by that sort of thing then this would be a good time for you to turn off your computer and go join a convent"
